Where And When?
As a general rule here in the United Kingdom, you cannot vape or use e-cigarettes anywhere you are not allowed to smoke. Now, some places such as bars and shops have allowed it, but it is always best to ask if you’re unsure and truthfully, you may be surprised to find out some of the rules governing Vaping here and in other countries around the world. I certainly was. Further into this article, you’ll see what I mean.
In The Car
As it stands now here in the United Kingdom there are no laws against using a vape device in your car. However, they are looking at it as a possible risk, being as they consider it a ‘hand held device’. So, keep in mind that in the future, this may be one of the places you cannot Vape. But then, I expect they will also have to outlaw smoking in your car as well. For the meantime though, be careful because driving can be a dangerous enough activity without the additional distractions of your particular kit. I drive a manual, so I needed something easy to handle for when I drive. I chose a small pen so that I could handle everything easier. I have a little holder on my console that I put the pen in while I’m not hitting it and that it’s out of the way, which has worked pretty well for me so far. I do have to say that it is much easier than when I smoked while driving, because I don’t have to look for the ashtray or worry about dropping it and catching something on fire. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve burned my floor mats before switching to Vaping.
Generally speaking, you are allowed to vape in public, as long as you are out of doors. There may be rules in certain places, such as private gardens, historical sites, landmarks, etc. which forbid the use of e-liquids and tanks being used, but as I said earlier, those are up to the owners or the particular site and until or when they pass a more comprehensive guide to the regulations regarding Vaping, you’ll just have to check at whatever venue you happen to be visiting.
I Am Going On Holiday
So you’re off to some foreign destination and want to know if you can take your Vape equipment and e-liquids with you? Be sure to check this before booking your tickets because there are a great many places prohibiting Vaping and some that even refuse these items being brought into the country. Going by what the World Health Organization has said, some countries have banned Vaping altogether. Below is a list of those countries where Vaping is BANNED.
Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Panama, Singapore, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Venezuela.
Countries where Vaping is restricted: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iran, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland.
In the countries where Vaping is restricted, you can face anything from a fine to actual jail time, including a sentence of up to ten years in some countries. Regardless of the penalties, I wouldn’t risk it. So, you can either leave your gear at home or change your destination plans in order to be safe from suffering any problems due to your gear and or e-liquids.
More and more places where you can safely Vape are opening up here in the United Kingdom, we call them Vape Lounges and they can be anything from a small shop where you can try out the e-liquids before purchasing them or elaborate shops which serve coffee drinks, and you can sit having a drink and enjoy your favourite e-liquids with other like-minded people. Medusa Juice is one such place and they have three stores in which you can do this. They’re located in King’s Lynn, Peterborough and Norwich, and any of those three places offer you a great little nook to hide away in and visit with the staff and other Vapers. They offer competitions where you can win great equipment, something from the newest clothing range and the most recent e-juices available. If you’re anywhere near one of them, do stop in and make yourself at home. The staff is always there to answer any questions you may have and to show you the most up-to-date gear on the market. Think of Medusa Juice as your own personal Mount Olympus where you can sit amongst the Gods of Vape and exchange ideas, recommendations, favourites and on and on.
Travel Safely With Vape Gear
Remember that all airlines still have the limits on liquids you can take onboard the plane and they cover e-liquids as well. Also, when traveling, remember that any of your batteries will need to be stored in your take on luggage since they need to be kept in a pressurized area at all times. With a few precautions and arming yourself with the rules and regulations regarding Vaping of the country you plan to visit, there’s no reason why you cannot have a great holiday with no hassles. At least none due to your Vaping equipment and juices. A few moments of preparation can spare you huge fines, lots of hassle and even prevent jail time.

At the end of the day, Medusa Juice just wants you to have the best Vape experience you can possibly have, which is why we work so hard to give you the best gear, e-liquids and information we possibly can. We go that extra mile to make your life easier whether here in the United Kingdom or abroad. Got questions? Get in touch!
