Breeze into Bradford
Bradford is a city at the foothills of the Pennines in West Yorkshire. Bradford is prominent for many reasons and it is historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, which now forms part of the West Yorkshire Urban Area. As you might expect in a city with a diverse culture and college, there are many people who vape there and they will agree that the Medusa Juice e-liquid range is unparalleled in all of the United Kingdom. Whatever your needs are, Medusa Juice can deliver them to you quick and the prices are so reasonable, you won’t believe it.
All about Bradford
Bradford rose to become the wool capital of the world during the 19th century and it grew in leaps and bounds during the industrial revolution. With an abundance of iron ore, coal and soft water, the town’s population skyrocketed and there is a huge amount of Victorian architecture including the Italianate City Hall building. Which is one building you must see if you plan a visit to Bradford.
The textile industry fell to decline in the mid-twentieth century and gave way to such things as tourism, and Bradford became the first UNESCO City of Film. It features such places as National Science and Media Museum, Bradford City Park, the Alhambra theatre and Cartwright Hall. Bradford has faced other issues which adversely affected it, like social unrest and economic deprivation.
Nevertheless, it’s a city worthy of note and a visit. It has a rich and interesting history and like many Northern English Cities, it was fraught with upheaval and military presence throughout the centuries.
During an uprising in 1070, William the Conqueror laid waste to the Manor of Bradford and it was described in the Domesday Book of 1086. It then became part of the Honour of Pontefract given to Ilbert de Lacy for service to the Conqueror, in whose family the manor remained until 1311.
During the Wars of the Roses the inhabitants sided with House of Lancaster. Edward IV granted Bradford the right to hold two fairs annually and afterward, the town began to prosper. Under the reign of Henry VIII, Bradford exceeded Leeds as a manufacturing centre.
The city itself is built upon many small hills and driving there can be quite interesting. But if you go, make sure you visit some of the lovely buildings and have some fun at any of the many recreational places available.
Such places range from naturally beautiful parks and walks to extraordinary architecture. Then there’s the in-between, be sure to catch as much of it as you can. High on my list of must-sees is Cartwright Hall, Sunbridge Wells and Bradford Cathedral. Even such places as Undercliffe Cemetery and St Leonards Farm Park are delightful excursions and provide you with a great little adventure.
They’re also great places to enjoy your favourite Medusa Juice e-liquids. Strolling along the historical buildings and green parks provide ample opportunity to imbibe the best vapes available in the United Kingdom.
Some fun things
You can go ice skating at the Bradford Ice Rink or try go karting at Bradford Kart Racing. Both are great family fun opportunities. There’s also two stadiums to enjoy, Grattan Stadium and Horsfall Stadium. If you want something the entire family can enjoy, don’t forget Time Trapped, Go Bowling, Tramp2lean and LaserZone. There’s also comedy clubs and casinos if you’re looking something for the adults. Bradford Playhouse and Grosvenor Casino are both fine examples of the aforementioned. And you might want to catch a film at either the Odeon or Cineworld. Bradford boasts a lovely bowling alley too. Hollywood Bowl is a great place to spend a few hours with family or friends.
Whatever you’re looking to do while in Bradford, the city can accommodate you and your family quite easily. Don’t forget to check out the fine shopping and restaurants available. Such fine examples are The Farmers Market in Bradford or you could try Cona Restaurant, Besties Bar, Corniche Restaurant, and Box Tree. There’s also some fun and good times to be had at the local pubs and clubs, such as Al’s Dime Bar, The Spotted Cow and Jacobs. Or if you want a good cup of coffee or tea, you can try Idle Lounge Coffee House, Java Joe, Miss Butterfinger’s and Refresh Coffee Shop.
While out and about, be sure to look through some of the museums and gift shops available. The Bradford Industrial Museum is quite interesting, as is the National Science and Media Museum. Then there’s Cartwright Hall and the Bradford Police Museum. SDC Colour Experience is not to be missed if you get the chance to go.
What visit would be complete without some retail therapy? Bradford can fill that order for you as well. Goodall’s of Tong, The Broadway Centre and The Wool Exchange are all great places to start and if that’s not enough, be sure to visit Waterstones, Impressions Gallery, Sweet Memories and The Craft Market. You might also enjoy a sojourn to Bradford Bazaar, Kirkgate Market and The Sweetie People.
