When in Loughborough
Loughborough is the second largest settlement in Leicestershire and home to the Loughborough University. It’s also ideally located for a stay there and day trip to one or more of the Medusa Juice Vape shops. Just eighty-four miles from Loughborough, the King’s Lynn Medusa Juice is an ideal place to visit and get all of your favourite e-liquids and Vape gear. It’s also fifty-one miles from the Peterborough shop.
While in the Loughborough area, there’s plenty to do and see, so be sure to give yourself time to make the most of your journey.
Home to the world’s largest bell foundry, you’ve probably seen one of the more famous bells to come from John Taylor Bellfounders. They made bells for the Carillon War Memorial, Great Paul for St Paul’s Cathedral and York Minster as well as many others.
The earliest mention of Loughborough is in the the Domesday Book from 1086. It was then known as “Lucteburne”. Which translates to “Luhhede’s burgh or fortified place”.
Loughborough also has the distinction of providing the first ever ‘package tour’ in tourism in 1841. So, as you can see, people have chosen to visit this area as a holiday choice for a long time.
And then we have this
Tourism is alive and well in Loughborough and you can take either a railway or boat tour while there. By rail, Great Central Railway offers scenic tours as does Barrow Boating via boat.
If you prefer to see the city on your own, some fine places to see are Loughborough Carillon, Quorn and Woodhouse Railway Station, The Sock Statue, The Old Rectory Museum, Soar Valley Garden Railway, and Manor Farm and Woodlands.
Loughborough certainly has a fair share of parks including Beacon Hill Country Park, Queen’s Park, The Green Place, Whatton House and Gardens, Cloud Trail and Swithland Reservoir.
Don’t pass up an chance to see Charnwood Museum and John Taylor Bellfoundry Museum while you’re there. I found both to be interesting and entertaining. Regardless of your interests, both of these places will stimulate and inform you.
Further on down the line
There’s no shortage of places to grab a drink and perhaps see a comedy show or enjoy some great music in Loughborough. Starting us out is Loughborough Town Hall, where you can catch a multitude of comedy shows. Then we have The Organ Grinder, The Needle and Pin, The Windmill, The Griffin and the Anchor Inn. Firefly provides a disco and live music venue and for comedy, there’s also Loogabarooga Comedy. If you can’t find some fun at one of these, you can also try the GB Pub or Ring ‘O’ Bells.
In typical British fashion, you can round off a night out with a visit to a local church or cathedral at Loughborough’s All Saints or Holy Trinity.
Regardless of what else you do, remember to enjoy your favourite Medusa Juice e-liquids while in the area and if you can get the chance, do stop by one of the shops either in Peterborough or King’s Lynn, stock up on great deals, sign up for the latest competitions and get yourself decked out in the new line of clothing. You cannot lose!
If you’re looking for something the whole family can do in Loughborough, there’s Charnwood Golf Range, Mini Monsters, Street Factory Skatepark LTD, F1K indoor karting LTD and Odean Cinema, where you can catch a the newest released films.
If in doubt
There’s also some fun for the creative types, in Starlight Youth Theatre and Creations. Be sure to stop in either or both while you’re in the neighbourhood.
There are two gin distilleries in Loughborough, 45 Gin School and Burleigh’s Gin. So, take a tour, enjoy a liberal pour and then enjoy your Medusa Juice e-juices and gear.
You can enjoy some spa or fitness time while here too. Chandra Yoga and Happy Soul both offer ways to relax and tune out or up.
Be sure to take full advantage of the local cuisine while you’re there as well and you won’t have to go far to find whatever you might fancy in the way of food and drinks.
Hammer and Pincers, Blacksmiths Arms, The White Horse and The Manor House were amongst my personal favourites. But if you want to book a table while online, you might want to try The Old Bull’s Head, Quorndon Fox, The Wheatsheaf, Harvester, or Toby Carvery.
If you fancy just going out for breakfast, why not try Chapter One Kitchen and Bar, Goodliffes Bar, The Priory Pub and Kitchen or Centro Lounge. Any of these offer a good selection and decent prices.
Once more with feeling
Loughborough offers a great time and an excellent point to start a Medusa Juice Vape Shop tour from. Be sure to add one or all of the shops to your ‘must see’ list and get the best deals on the very best e-liquids in the United Kingdom.
