York, a great place to play
York is one of the historic walled cities of England. It’s situated on the River Ouse and River Foss in North Yorkshire. It’s one hundred twenty-six miles from Peterborough, home to one of the new Medusa Juice Vape Shops. If you’re planning on visiting York, be sure to add a scenic drive to one of the Medusa Juice shops and load up on all of your favourite e-liquids, equipment and clothing. If you are feeling adventurous, include a tour of all three Medusa Juice locations, Peterborough, King’s Lynn and Norwich.
Founded by Romans in 71 AD as Eboracum, York has always played an important part in the political and historical matters of England. During the middle ages, York was a major wool trading centre. It also became the capital of the northern ecclesiastical province of the Church of England and remains so to this day.
The 19th century saw York become a hub of the railway network and rise to become a confectionery manufacturing centre. In the more recent times, York has developed into a more tourism dependant city and the railway related industries has become even more important to the economy.
While in the York area, there’s plenty to do and see. Depending on where your interests lie, you won’t be at a lack of things to do. If family time is a priority, there are several different family fun things to do, from bowling alleys, to escape rooms, cinemas, and parks as well as amusement parks and playgrounds. I’ve listed some of them here to get you started. For games and entertainment, try The York Dungeon, The Web Adventure Park, Energi Trampoline Park – York, Yorkshire Activity Centre and the Wacky Warehouse. Another fun place is Live For Today Adventures – Bubble Football.
Set your sights
If you prefer something more sedate, you can try one of two cinemas, The Reel Cinema and Vue. Or there’s also a couple of comedy clubs that are good for a laugh, like The Hyena Lounge Comedy Club and Laugh Out Loud.
York Maze is a good time out for the family and then there’s also Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland. If you want playground action, try Deep Sea Den and DC’s Play Barn.
York has a lovely wildlife park and Askham Byron Wildlife and Conservation Park is a wonderful way to spend an entire day, and while you’re out and about, don’t forget to enjoy your favourite e-liquids from Medusa Juice. Either the new purchases you made from a drive to the newest store in Norwich or ones you brought from home. Either way, you can’t go wrong with Medusa juices e-liquids.

Regardless of who you go with, you will probably want to take in some of the sites that have historical significance in York and some of these are York Minster, York City Walls, York Cold War Bunker, Castle Howard, Treasurer’s House, Clifford’s Tower, The Roman Bath, Kirkham Priory, The Chapter House, Mansion House, and King’s Manor.
For museum fun, you have many to choose from as well, some of these include York Castle Museum, DIG, The York Army Museum and The Bar Convent Living Heritage Center. All of these are considered history museums. If you want something else but in a museum venue, you can try National Railway Museum, York’s Chocolate Story, Yorkshire Air Museum, The York Army Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre just to name a few. There’s also several art museums as well as art galleries so if you appreciate art, be prepared. Such places as York Art Gallery, York Fine Art, Lotte Inch Gallery and ADZE Gallery will fill a lovey few hours of your time and if you’re artistic in nature, perhaps you’ll be inspired.
There are a few statues of note in York and these are The Roman Column, Constantine Statue, Inner Space Stations and Yorkshire Regiment Boer War Memorial York.
Before you know it
Other landmarks and sights you may want to include in your visit to York are The Shambles, The Rose Window, Holgate Windmill, The Roman Column, Dick Turpin’s Grave, and Fishergate Postern Tower. If you still have time and want more to see, try St Helen’s Square, Howsham Mill, Holgate Mill, Exhibition Square and The New School House Gallery.
The York Minster Tower Climb provides a sacred and religious experience for those who believe and who knows, maybe those whom do not as well, either way, it’s worth a look while you’re there.
York provides a rich nightlife for those of you who might want to experience it, and there’s everything from local pubs to flashy nightclubs, a few of the more noteworthy ones are The Duchess, Woolpack Inn, Sotano and The Blue Bell. Flares York and The Artful Dodger Bar are also a nice place to spend some time.
